I suspect some who work in #HR might disagree with me, but in my (30+ years’) experience of providing #ExecutiveSearch internationally I have found the best time of year for companies genuinely serious about finding new #talent is…RIGHT NOW.

October is exactly the right time for #HiringManagers to engage with somebody like me, to get the details communicated and agreed, and to launch a search.

This way, by November you’ll have found your candidate and made an offer of employment: December serves as the newly engaged candidate’s notice period, and you can start 2024 with him or her joining you at the first opportunity in January.

Taking this action is obvious and makes sense, but far too many companies and their HR Departments forget the need for planning or overlook the importance of timing or simply put it off until the last minute by assuming it’s a formality and a quick process! You shouldn’t, it isn’t and it’s certainly not quick (if you want it done properly!)
