#Job Opportunity: Director of Sales and Marketing

For a group of 3 Luxury Business-Class Hotels (#Expatriate Applicants Only).

DWR Executive Search has been retained to find a Director of Sales and Marketing with specific and extensive experience in the 4 and 5-star hotel sector and a flare for digital and traditional marketing techniques. This position is for expatriate applicants only and is an on-site role based in Accra, Ghana with a salary of USD$6000pm.

As a full luxury concierge service and property management company, which focuses on providing world-class professional services to its individual and corporate clientele, the Director of Sales & Marketing will work across their three premier-class hotels located in prime areas of Ghana’s capital city, Accra, and take full responsibility for developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive business goals in international markets.

Core Duties of the Role:

The successful applicant will:

  • Create, implement and manage global marketing campaigns.
  • Plan and develop marketing strategies for the promotion of the three hotels at an international level and tailored to specific target markets.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, market entry opportunities, customer needs and competitive landscapes across international markets.
  • Develop, broaden and maintain brand positioning and messaging for international markets.
  • Create compelling local and international marketing content including advertisements, social media campaigns, email marketing and website content, etc.
  • Through research and communication, identify and evaluate partners in international markets.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and global visibility.
  • Drive traffic and leads from international markets.
  • Develop the brand’s international communication strategy.
  • Utilise Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to gain maximum exposure and response.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets for international markets.
  • Identify, develop and maintain productive relationships with prospective, new and existing international clients.

Essential Requirements:

Before applying for this opportunity, please ensure you can satisfy ALL the following key elements.

•          Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing (or similar qualification appropriate to the role)

•          Proven experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing with a verifiable track record from within the hotel and hospitality sector (preferably including both luxury and domestic hotel categories)

•          International experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels including digital and traditional

•          At least 2 years’ experience in international marketing development and implementation in a four- or five-star hotel (especially in the business-class or city/boutique category).

•          Excellent communication skills (fluent written and spoken). Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (Native English with French or one other European language)

•          Prior experience of working in West Africa would be an added advantage.

Conditions:

This is an expatriate position and is offered on a single person basis. The employment package will offer a NET salary in the region of USD$6000pm and includes own private accommodation, health insurance, daily meal allowance, transportation, relocation flight and work permit, a generous leave entitlement with a flight home once a year, and other benefits. Details will be discussed at the client interview stage. As an important position that carries a high degree of responsibility, it is a prerequisite that applicants possess the required skills and experience to be considered.
